You can find most of my work for sale at my Etsy shop, The Corey Press.
I sketch the design, often incorporating medieval woodcuts, then carve it out. The block is then inked, proofed, and pressed, usually on to wood. The wood gives the design more heft, the grain interacts with the ink and pressure in a way that makes each pressing unique.
I mean, if you wanted a perfect image, use a photocopier, right?
Of course, there are quality checks. I would not send out a pressing I would not hang on my wall. Those failed pressings find a home in the bottom of a nearby bog, tied down with weights and sealed with curses.
I do some custom work too. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
